Known for its relaxed atmosphere and stunning views of Chrysochous Bay, it’s a fantastic place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. In autumn, the mild temperatures and fewer tourists create an ideal setting for long, leisurely walks along the coastline or exploring the nearby Akamas National Park.
The village is home to traditional tavernas where you can sample fresh seafood and local Cypriot dishes. You can also visit the nearby Latchi Harbour, a short distance away, for a boat trip or a meal overlooking the sea. This village is famous for its archaeological significance as the site of Palaipaphos, one of Cyprus’s most important ancient cities and a UNESCO World Heritage site. In autumn, the pleasant weather makes it ideal for exploring the Sanctuary of Aphrodite, where the ancient goddess was once worshipped.
Kouklia’s charming stone buildings, traditional cafes, and the nearby Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Rock) create an atmosphere rich in culture and history. Autumn is the perfect time to wander through the village streets, visit the local museum, and take in the beautiful surrounding countryside, which is particularly lush after the summer months.
Gialia Village: A Hidden Green Oasis

This small, quiet village is surrounded by dense forests, making it an ideal destination for those who enjoy hiking and exploring Cyprus’s natural landscapes. In autumn, the changing colors of the leaves create a picturesque backdrop for outdoor activities.
Gialia is also home to a historic 16th-century monastery, Panagia Chrysogialiotissa, which adds a touch of spiritual serenity to the village’s appeal. Visitors can enjoy the area’s tranquility while discovering the local flora and fauna and experiencing Cyprus’s authentic, rural side.
